Joey & Theo Homed

Joey and Theo are male fancy rats, found abandoned in a carrier in an alleyway in the rain. Thankfully they were found by a kind human who took them in and drove them to us as an emergency so we could get them urgent vet treatment. Sadly, they came in as a group of three, with their companion being severely underweight and suffering from neurological issues that resulted in them having to be put to sleep. Joey and Theo have had a course of antibiotics and Joey has been treated for some bad scratches to his head.

Joey and Theo, Fancy Rats

Further Details

Joey is a beautiful boy with dumbo ears and Theo is a top ear rat, they are full grown boys who are young adults. They are both building up weight and confidence and Joey's scratches have healed up nicely and he is starting to regrow the missing fur.

Understandably, both boys are somewhat possessive over food - it's important to offer them both food at the same time to avoid any potential conflict. They get on very well, but would definitely benefit from being in a larger group or 'mischief'! These boys are growing in confidence here, with Joey loving to hang out on a hammock and get your attention if you are nearby until you offer him food. Theo needs more coaxing to come out, but both boys have settled in to a busy household without excessive shyness.
