Moss Adoptable
Moss is a quiet chap who needs time to get used to you.

Moss has been successfully rehomed to a loving new home with plenty of space and attention
Further Details
Moss is a calm chap, who likes to know what is going on before he investigates it. He's a big fan of his wheel but isn't keen on much activity outside that. He'd benefit from a large enclosure and regular contact, but would prefer a playpen to investigate than hands to wander over.

Misty Rehomed
Misty was handed to us by an owner who wasn't meeting her needs. Like many of the Syrians we receive, she had not had a large enough cage or suitable enrichment. Misty is a very active girl, who is healthy and shy.

Misty was homed to a loving new home that can be patience with her shy nature and give her plenty of enrichment.
Further Details
Misty is a beautiful young girl who is enjoying having a suitable space and wheel to live in. She does need warning when you approach her cage, as she finds this rather scary. She is responding well to regular, short handling sessions at a calm and slow pace.

Bernard Sanctuary
Bernard is a middle-aged African Pygmy Hedgehog with only three feet as his mother chewed one off when he was young. He is 18 months old, underweight and rather grumpy at life.

Bernard remained in Sanctuary at Crittery, due to his disability and temperament. He remained a very grumpy chap, never liking human interaction though he did appreciate being supplied with interesting foods and rarely bit. He developed cateracts in later life, though these did not bother him both. Sadly, he developed a tumour at 4.5 years of age and had to be put to sleep.
Further Details
Bernard is an interesting character who is not keen on humans. He is a picky eater, but will annoint readily at interesting foods providing you aren't silly enough to try and hand feed him. He loves having some time to run around the floor and explore toys. Though he only tolerates adults, he has bonded rather well with our small person.
